About Cole'lition

For more than three decades, Cole’lition has been creating an unmistakable blend of smooth jazz, soulful melodies, infectious grooves, and high-energy performances. Founded in 1994 by bandleader and guitarist Michael Cole, the Seattle–Tacoma-based ensemble has built a respected musical legacy throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Over the years, Cole’lition has released four CD projects and performed at venues, festivals, special events, and entertainment destinations throughout the Northwest. The band has shared the stage with nationally recognized artists including The Whispers, Tony! Toni! Toné!, The Ohio Players, Najee, and Acoustic Alchemy, along with many other acclaimed performers. Cole’lition has also brought its distinctive sound to audiences aboard Carnival Cruise Line.

Today, Cole’lition is powered by seven exceptional musicians whose experience, creativity, and individual musical voices come together to create a dynamic and sophisticated sound. The current lineup includes:

Michael Cole — Bandleader and Guitar
John Anthony — Bass
Michael “Mi” Cole — Keyboards
Tom Provo — Keyboards
Chris “Breeze” Fuller — Keyboards
Andrae “Smiley” Weems — Drums

After a period of hiatus, during which the members pursued individual musical dreams, projects, and creative endeavors, Cole’lition has reunited with renewed energy, a fresh perspective, and an exciting new musical direction. The band is currently writing and recording new original music that reflects its signature smooth jazz foundation while exploring new sounds, grooves, and creative possibilities.

The upcoming Cole’lition project is scheduled for release in late 2026 or early 2027. With a renewed passion for songwriting, performance, and artistic collaboration, the band is preparing to reconnect with longtime supporters while introducing its music to a new generation of listeners.

Cole’lition is grateful that its music has been enjoyed across the United States and internationally through radio, streaming services, digital platforms, and other outlets. As the next chapter begins, the band looks forward to expanding its reach through live performances, with plans to bring the Cole’lition experience to audiences both nationally and internationally.

The music is evolving. The energy is renewed. And Cole’lition is back—creating soulful sounds, exciting grooves, and unforgettable musical experiences for listeners around the world.
